Clark and Tacski sharing hay

Looking to relocate from the east coast in 1998 we found Heron Hill serendipitously, as is often the case when house-hunting in and around Port Townsend. A meeting through soccer created an opportunity, and to mark the very moment of agreement, a double rainbow appeared over the wetland pond and a great blue heron flew out. We found home!

That began what is now 25 years of grateful connection with nature, wildlife, animals, and people here in what we call the "Holler."

The horses came into our lives in 1999. The Amish-style barn Norm drew on a napkin for "Uncle Howard" to build was just in time for our first foal (Tsigilili) to literally hit the ground in 2000 to then maiden-mare Belle, our matriarch, who is featured on the Heron Hill Equine logo.

We have had many wonderful horses, dogs, cats, and experiences here. The three horses still with us are now mostly retired, although they do enjoy time spent in conversation, grooming, adventureing and hanging out!

Our good fortune is meant to be shared, and the horses agree. Lets have some fun!
