Winnie's ye was full of copmassion and wisdom Winnie and Teren in a moment of soft connection

Winnie’s journey took her from Windfield Farm in Pennsylvania to Ohio as a yearling, then to Kentucky, then Washington by the time she was four. She was bred, foaled a colt, and entered our lives at six years of age for what was to be an interim arrangement after he was weaned from her.

After a few months it became clear that we chose her and felt that she had chosen us. So our herd became four. (By then, Belle was no longer with us).

An Irish Draught of heritage line she drew people to herself. One such friend wove her tail hair into a Cootie tree in a field at Leeane-Derrynadeigh, Ireland and would come to visit and just be in her presence.

Initially, dynamics split the herd. Tsigi had no use for her and little sister Tacksi took time to accept her. Over time Winnie and Clark grew to become best friends and confidants. We said goodbye after years of treating her cancer were unsuccessful. To this day he stands gazing upon the spot where he last saw her.
