Heron Hill barn from the air

Mike McCaffrey presents small-group hands-on interactive body work clinics with up to six horses and 12-14 people. The session begins with a demonstration and then moves to the hands-on learning, practice, coaching, and more practice.

Mike remarks, "I make sure every student gets the techniques down and ingrained in muscle memory. With practice comes a therapeutic touch."

As you work with Mike, you will deepen your connection with your horse and:

  • Gain the ability to recognize and treat muscle strains before they become chronic problems;
  • Improve your horse's flexibilty and balance;
  • Gain the ability to invigorate your horse's body pre-event and to release lactic acid build-up post-event;
  • Recognize and correct saddle fit issues before they become problematic; and
  • Improve your palpatation skills from an appreciative pat to a truly therapeutic touch that will improve every time you do it.
