Belle out on a sunny snow day Belle and CB walking in the round pen

Belle was our "mother horse" who is featured on the HHE logo. As a three-year-old she raced at Santa Anita Park in the Allowance class. In a few outings she showed little desire to race. She was donated for quite the sum to a horse rescue on Vashon Island and then bred to the visiting Eeneskim (Tsigilili's sire). We purchased Belle at seven months in foal to complete the herd that at the time had diminished to one horse!

She made friends everywhere. Elegant and assured, a noble creature accomodating and kind to young and small children. Quietly engaging when in the barn or round pen, yet quite spirited at times when out in the wide open.

Belle fractured her ulna in the pasture and had to be put to sleep. She will be forever with us.
